Jurgen Rilling, Senior Advisor - Munich

Jürgen is the Founder and Managing Director of Mirablau. In 2001, Jürgen founded Mirablau, a self-funded search vehicle, and co-acquired Grundig Business Systems. Today, Mirablau holds several private equity & venture capital investments and specializes in Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) with a focus on traditional Search Funds.

As a mentor in Search Funds, Jürgen enjoys accompanying outstanding talent on their journey to become great CEOs. He is an avid promoter of the Search Fund model & Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) as a way to provide SMEs with extraordinarily talented CEOs, sustainably solve company succession challenges and create employment. Jürgen currently serves on several  boards and has been a pioneer in both roles: as an ETA entrepreneur and as a serial search fund investor. He is also a Board member of IESE's International Search Fund Center, as well as a frequent speaker on search funds at leading business schools.

Before founding Mirablau, Jürgen worked with Rodenstock and Roland Berger. He holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Technische Universität München, and an MBA from IESE Business School.
